Landscape and Urban Designer
Marvel Architects is an 85-person award-winning design and architecture firm with offices in New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are seeking a passionate landscape designer and urban designer with 3-5 years of experience, who is self-motivated and resourceful, with strong communication skills. The candidate will join our growing team of landscape and urban designers working on projects across the New York City region and nation-wide. Candidates must have a strong commitment to creating exceptional public space and be a team player.

The ideal candidate has a professional bachelor or master’s degree in landscape architecture and/or urban design and 3-5 years of professional landscape design and/or urban design experience and is working toward their professional license. Candidates must show their experience developing multiple unique ideas during early stages of the design process, from concept through schematic design, and demonstrate a keen interest in the translation of unique design ideas from concept to construction documentation.

Technical landscape architecture knowledge in the following areas is required: Grading; planting design; materials; and detailing. Candidates will demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe CS, Word and Excel, and Revit experience is a plus.

Senior Interior Designer
Marvel is seeking a gifted Senior Interior Designer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to build a department and lead teams from concept design to completion. Our approach integrates Interior Design in the earliest phases of Architecture and Planning, with a portfolio of new construction projects that bridge private space and the public realm, including multi-family and luxury housing, theaters, schools, and large-scale public spaces in and beyond New York City.
Qualified applicants are talented designers capable of producing unique concepts and communicating those designs through working drawings and renderings; developing schedules; and delivering presentations. Applicants are knowledgeable of contemporary trends, pricing, and sources of furniture, finishes, and fixtures. The position requires management of consultants, delegation of work assignments and providing direction to multiple project teams. Applicants must be proficient in AutoCAD 2015 and 3d modelling and rendering, with Revit project experience a plus. Candidates must have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Interior Design or Advanced Degree in Architecture, with strong organization, team building and management skills.
