We were chosen to design a 140,000SF mixed-use development in Brooklyn. The project includes duplexes and split-level condominiums (32 condominium units in total) and three townhouse configurations (11 townhouses in total) as well as a commercial and community facilities. Some of the townhouses include portions that can be rented out by the owner. The overall concept for this development came from developed blocks that existed in 19th century New York City, which naturally integrated residential, retail and commercial properties along the street front. The shift in materiality and variety of window sizes and placement reflect this mixture of typologies.
