SandRidge Energy Executive Floors

Oklahoma City, OK

Recipient of the AIA 25 year award, the Pietro Belluschi-designed tower had been untouched since the 1970s and vacant for over a decade. Its renovation updated the ground floor lobby, executive offices, suites and reception area and open plan conference space. The new lobby reorganizes access points for increased safety, enabling the inclusion of a large reception hall with limited access to the upper floors. The offices’ design on the upper floors expresses the company’s collaborative working style and commitment to “openness” in the circular board room table, wide and winding hallways and glass partitions with translucent drapery. Contemporary art, furnishings and interior design were chosen for their modernity and compatibility with the 1970’s building. In addition to providing inconspicuous yet state of the art surveillance and locking systems, as well as “safe rooms”, all spaces, technological systems and entrances of the Tower were brought up to modern building code levels and into compliance with ADA requirements.
