Timber Lake House
The Timber Lake house is a three bedroom weekend house in upstate New York. The property faces a private lake towards the South, surrounded by tall pine trees and large boulders on all sides. The house is structured around placement of “volumes” that house intimate, private bedrooms. Common spaces softly flow in between the “volumes”, opening up towards the surrounding landscape. Tilted plane roofs create various sized openings, framing and creating a unique connection to the landscape while the change in ceiling height facilitates natural ventilation.
