As Director at Marvel Architects, Scott is involved in projects from every vantage point: from concept and design, to budget and staffing, to client relations. Notable completed and ongoing projects include McCarren Park Pool, State Street Townhouses, St Ann’s Warehouse, New Lab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and the Pratt Institute School of Architecture. His education, experience and interests range from historic preservation to new construction, urban design, infrastructure and sustainability. By working across such a broad spectrum, he is able to successfully balance diverse needs within a unified building solution. He has a Master of Science in Preservation from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University. Scott is a registered architect and LEED Accredited Professional.
Scott is committed to developing design and architectural solutions, on many scales, which respond to present-day needs of life, work, and play. His education, experience and interests range from historic preservation to new construction, urban design, infrastructure and sustainability. He is currently managing the day to day of several projects including the New Lab and Building 77 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the design of the Brooklyn Greenway node parks, and the renovation of the historic Chelsea Hotel. By working within a broad realm of requirements and possibilities, his process is able to balance diverse needs into a codified building solution.
