Mill Pond Park Master Plan and Schematic Design
Mill Pond Park (formerly The Bronx Terminal Market) site is a 10-acre parcel spanning the East 145th Street Bridge and the Yankee Stadium Ferry, from Exterior Street to the Harlem River. This waterfront park is one of several replacement parks and recreational facilities that are within the Yankee Stadium Redevelopment Program. We designed the park, a tennis court, passive recreation areas, as well as restoration of Power House, the remaining building of the Bronx Terminal Market. These components are linked by a continuous waterfront esplanade and pathway, providing space for walking, skating, or biking throughout the park. A special feature of this park allows visitors to have access to the former New York Harbor estuaries, which were transformed into the Harlem River.
