NYU Sociology Department, Puck Building
New york, NY
This renovation of nearly 20,000SF on the 4th floor of New York University’s historic Puck Building creates inviting spaces for the NYU department of Sociology. Design strategies include integrating historic architectural elements such as vaulted ceilings, cast iron columns, and brick walls, into modern, fully equipped workspaces. Faculty offices and student seminar rooms are connected by generous, occupiable corridors and communal areas designed to stimulate academic and social interaction.
