Jacqueline Grennan Wexler Library at Hunter College
Programming and Pre-Design Study | New York, NY
The Programming and Pre-Design study for the Jacqueline Grennan Wexler Library at Hunter College’s main campus represents the College’s first step towards improving the functionality and appearance of the library since its construction in the 1970s. The project re-imagines the library as the intellectual crossroads where all the essential activities of the college will meet.
Some of the design goals and features include providing technological infrastructure necessary to support state-of-the-art teaching methods while maintaining the importance of open, public spaces and ceremonial areas for special events and lectures.
